India wins first ever individual gold medal at the Olympics

Abhinav Bindra Wins the First gold medal in any Individual event for India in Olympics. This is the golden day for India, Abhinav Bindra did what no one else has done in Indian Olympic History.

"I can't describe how happy I am," the ever-calm Bindra told journalists. "It's the thrill of my life. That's about it. It's hard to describe. I just went for it. I knew I was lying in fourth. Thankfully it went my way and I just went for it."

Abhinav Bindra won gold medal in the Men’s 10 metre Air Rifle event in Beijing. He was tied 4th to qualify for the final round but shot excellently to win the gold medal. India’s other shooter Gagan Narang was unlucky to not to make it to the finals.

wow ,its amazing that a country with the population the size of India has never won an individual gold before - just amazing! I think us Aussies take them too much for granted.

I hope other atheletes take some inspiration from Abhinav Bindra’s Gold Medal winning effort and perform excellently in the remaining part of the games.

hello friends ,

Hope most of you guys have joined your company .. i joined
NTEC ( Nortel) on july 23rd .. i am vetty till now .. just fillin
forms and surfing in net .. my training starts on coming Monday ..

We went out for a camping this week .. it
was awesome .. we stayed in a place called wonder valley .. it was
like a forest and we are suppose to meet animals like elepants etc
but we were unfortunate .. it was a company trip , we were spilt into
teams and raced all other teams, in all activities .. we had treking
( in early morning :( ) .. we also built a raft and crossed the river
( ofcourse with life jacket) with the same raft .. We worked in teams
and It was our first experience to design a raft wid bamboos , build
t and use t to cross the river and make it ALIVE :) and food in
wonder valley was just awesome .. we had a lot more fun activities
and each of which took more than 2 - 4 hours to complete and at the
end of each session , our guide used to quote how that activity n
learnings from t, apply to us in a corporate world .. we stayed in
tents , made friends ..After the trip , When we went back to ofiz
the next day , most of us , visited other colleagues' cabin n say
"hi" to each other wid a smily face and if pos a small chit-
chat :) .. i guess this is wat we won from the trip :)

All the people here are damn friendly and
cool .. We are suppose to address each other by name , even our
thala (M.D) K.C.V .. Faraaz motaaz ( head of voice team) siad he will fine us 100
Rs ( which he ll save for pizza ) if we call him "Sir" .. No dress
code here .. Cool colleagues .. Flex timing - we can come at 11 and leave at 4 .. we can also work from home , d thing is that we shd get our work done :)

Mostly my gang can be found in
cafetaria , speaking of which i wanna tell u one incident .. i didnt
get my laptop for d 1st three days , i went to the HR and asked
why .. she said -" The guy who used to setup laptop frequently visited
ur cabin but you werent there so without ur presenz he couldnt give u
the laptop n config t " .. ofcourse every1 laughed , even i laughed
because evey1 did the same - killin time outside their cabin .. one more sentenz to end this post , usually people experienz pressure to suit themselves to corporate environment when they start fresh , but here its yet another final semester in college :)

I am really happy and hope u guys are also havin fun @
work ..
